Since its inception, Northern Pain Management Inc.
(formerly Pioneer Valley Pain Management) has
continued to serve as a leader in the field of pain
management, providing safe and quality care to
thousands of patients. In selected cases Dr. Ogoke
has provided free care to many patients who
otherwise could not have afforded the care and had
no insurance coverage. Northern Pain Management Inc.
has also served as a training and externship center
for area colleges and institutions and continues to
do so. Many Physician Assistant (PA) students have
rotated through this clinic as well as many Medical
Assistants (MA), Physical Therapy and Exercise
Physiology students and Medical Billing students as
well. We have helped train so many of these students
comprising all racial and socioeconomic groups. They
completed their program under this facility and
proceeded to get jobs in the community. Dr. Ogoke
has hosted several pain management physicians from
across the country that have spent time in this
practice for observation and shared experience that
will help in their existing practices or help them
establish on their own. These pain management
physicians (MDs) have come from Massachusetts,
Connecticut, New York, North Caroline, New Jersey,
Illinois, Iowa, and Tennessee. Dr. Ogoke has
provided mentorship to students who wish to pursue a
career in medicine under the auspices of the
Massachusetts Medical Society mentorship program and
continues to do so.

Northern Pain Management Inc. has an ongoing
medication program in which samples of medication or
special coupons that provide free but limited
quantity of medicines are made available to our
patients. These medications and coupons may be
renewable or non-renewable, and are received from
the pharmaceutical and drug companies through the
original representatives, and then provided to needy
patients as available. Many such patients have
received as much as 80-90% of their total pain
medication expense for free through this ongoing
program.
Dr. Ogoke, in 1996, founded and established the Wing
Memorial Hospital Pain Clinic in Palmer and served
as the director until January 2002. Northern Pain
Management Inc. has supported other area
institutions like the Springfield Fire Department,
WFCR /NPR (National Public Radio) for about five
years, church programs for the homeless, the Red
Cross, Cancer Society, State Police Association,
Girl Scouts, etc. Northern Pain Management Inc.
continues to explore opportunities to help and give
back to the community that it serves.
